Ben Perez Usher is a Global Creative Director, BAFTA nominee and winner of multiple Cannes Lions, D&AD and One Show awards, ranking among the top 10 creatives globally. Half-French, half-English, and based in London, Ben believes the best ideas live at the intersection between cultural relevance and real business impact.
He’s worked with some of the world’s biggest brands, including McDonald’s, BMW, The Premier League, Pringles, Bacardi, Virgin Media, OREO, Dulux, Barclays and Andrex, at agencies including AMV BBDO, Leo Burnett, FCB, Ogilvy & Mather and Saatchi & Saatchi. He co-created StorySign, the AI-powered app that translates children’s books into sign language, opening the world of books to deaf children.
As a creative leader, Ben oversees multidisciplinary teams, pitches new business and sits on national and international awards juries. Ben has also been a mentor for The Ideas Foundation and Spear, helping young people from diverse backgrounds consider careers in advertising.
Ben started out in PR, pitching stories to the front pages as a comms director, so he understands which ideas will get people talking. He made a book called 'Why Don’t Penguins’ Feet Freeze?' the UK Christmas number 1 bestseller. Outside of work, Ben was a two-time European Latin dance champion.
